Abstract
This talk will focus on the current state of in-vehicle operational concepts and ergonomic principles of human centered design. Furthermore, we will take a look on how automotive user interfaces will evolve through the concepts of autonomous driving and what challenges lie ahead when designing for future cars. Besides autonomous driving it will highlight some of the trends that shape the experience of how we will interact with our cars.
Vita
Frank Uhlig graduated in Media Design at the Fachhochschule Vorarlberg in 2008 and works since then as a visual user interface and interaction designer for the automotive industry. In his career he worked for most car manufactures in the southern german region and developed interfaces and user experiences for pre-development and series production as well. Since 2015 he works for e.solutions GmbH as a Senior UX Designer and is now leading the User Experience and User Interface Team where he develops the upcoming incar digital experiences for Audi and other brands in the VW Group.
